The vinyl manufacturer (Avery) in the 1970s developed a pressure-sensitive adhesive to produce low tack until the vinyl is firmly placed on the object.  This allowed for easier repositioning of the striping tape during installation until positioned to the desired location. Another vinyl manufacturer (3M) produces high-quality vinyl which is why we use it to cut our 3M line.  Hence, is why professional pinstripers, body shops, RV's typically prefer our stripe type over other brands.

When looking to enhance your project, no better method than to use low-cost vinyl tape over permanent paint products.  If after a couple of years you wish to change colors or have none at all, simply remove the original stripe, clean with adhesive remover, and use a little wax to bring back the shine. This is the same with boat striping as well.  The sun/salt damage can really add wear to vinyl but simply remove the old and install new.  Your boat will be ready for the summer all over again.  Have questions?
